Current Residential Trash Disposal Customers
In order to ensure proper disposal of waste, there are some guidelines that must be remembered and adhered to. So, the below mentioned guidelines are designed to assist you and Area Disposal to make the most of trash disposal.
- Make sure to put the barrels out by 6 a.m.
- Area Disposal picks up barrels on all days, including holidays
- BAG & TIE – Includes trash & yard trimmings (Limbs no more than 4 ft. long)
- Ensure that all lids are properly closed
- Place barrel(s) at least 5 ft. from walls, fences, mailboxes, and other barrels etc.
- Face barrel lid opening towards street with easy access for safety
- Don’t forget to flatten or fold boxes, so that they can slide out (e.g. pizza boxes)
- Recycle Barrel(s) will not be emptied on a regular trash day
- Cactus – “DRY” – Bag or box (cactus can be very heavy & can damage barrel(s))

- Newspaper, printing, junk mail, magazines, phone books
- Cardboard boxes & corrugated cardboard (example: cereal/prepared food/detergent boxes/packing boxes) (flatten or fold boxes for easy removal from barrel) (remove liners)
- Aluminum cans & tin cans (includes: soda/vegetable/fruit/soup type cans)
- Plastic bottles, jugs & containers (recycle logo 1-7″only”)Glass food & beverage jars & bottles (“only”)
